| 2008-07-17 Keycast has acquired Mekoteknik AB, which is a company specialized in the machining of steel components. The company is located in Halmstad, Sweden. Mekoteknik’s annual turnover is approx. 80 MSEK and the company has 40 employees, who will all continue their employment contracts. Keycast is an industrial company group specialized in steel cast components. The group is owned by the private equity firm Riverside and the group's management. | 2008-04-24 Timo Kronqvist, born in 1965, joined Keycast on the 24th of April. Timo has taken up the position of General Manager and reports to CEO Simo Jutila. Timo holds a Master's degree both in engineering as well as in business administration (eMBA). Timo joins Keycast after a long career at Ruukki, where he left the position of Purchasing Manager, Ruukki Production. He was previously employed as Plant Manager at Pulkkila Works as well as Product Manager in the sales organization. Timo is fluent in English and Swedish and is a native speaker of Finnish. ![]() | 2008-04-05 Keycast Ljungby have the new air compressors on line. "We selected oil injected rotary screw compressors from Atlas Copco," says Production Manger Magnus Andersson. "The installation consists of one 75 kW and one 55 kW compressor. This configuration will allow us to cover the basic need with one unit and peak-shave with the second and hence save up to 35% in energy costs. | 2008-03-25 Mikko Raumala, born in 1969, has joined Keycast Raahe team. Before Keycast, Mikko worked as a R&D engineer in wireless telecommunication in charge of RF -filters. | Keycast Kohlswa installs new turning machine | |

The control system is SMT 4100. ![]() | 2008-01-29 Keycast has ordered two new 3 ton melting furnaces. The new induction furnaces will more than double the existing melting capacity to 6,000 tons per year. The power of 1700 kW at 1000 Hz can be flexibly directed to both furnaces. The commissioning is being carried out by the furnace supplier ABP supported by local companies. The first production melt is scheduled for the 4th of August 2008. The new melting furnaces will give us the means to meet increasing customer demands and strengthen Keycast's position in the business area of shell moulded steel castings for heavy vehicles. | 2007-08-16 Riverside invests in European steel casting manufacturer The private equity firm underscores commitment to the Nordic Market with growth in the Stockholm presence (16th of August 2007) | The Riverside Company, the largest private equity firm focused on the smaller end of the middle market, has acquired the Nordic manufacturer Keycast and its subsidiaries. Keycast is northern Europe's foremost producer of cast steel components for leading original equipment manufacturers in the mobile equipment, energy and process industries. The company's management team will join Riverside in the transaction, reinvesting in the company and maintaining operational involvement.
