Plant manager Harri Bahrman "I would like to thank the project team for excellent work. We kept to both the time schedule and budget. In ABP we have a supplier that is committed to serving us not only with the hardware and installation but most importantly with a dedicated aftermarket service ensuring minimal down time as well as good performance in the future."
"The commissioning of the two new ABP induction furnaces went according to plan. ABP and other contractors did a great job and delivered what was agreed," says project manager Bosse Haldin and continues: "We made the first melt on the 2nd of August and full production run one week later after gradually increasing the output. The new installation will increase the production capacity to 6,000 tons per year in the Kohlswa foundry. The new PLC gives us better process control and less operator dependence. We have already seen smaller batch to batch variations in terms of liquid temperature and composition. Furthermore, the working environment is improved making the day-to-day work safer."
